đŸ’– Love, Balance & a Little Bit of Eclipse Magic

Over the years, I’ve struggled with Valentine’s day, I don’t like how commercialized it is. It is one of the most expensive holidays just because. I have had more fun over the years celebrating Valentine’s Day with my friends then going out to one expensive dinner.

Leading up to and after the holiday, I realized that I was with the community who I cherish. From climbing together, gathering for a meal, riding in my first hot air balloon and gathering for a Galentine’s day celebration. It was truly a way to celebrate with a feeling of being loved and supported.

When thinking about Valentine’s day this year, I thought of the holiday through the lens of the tarot and the 2 of Cups flowed into my thoughts, this card is a card of connection, choice, relationship, unity, and balance. Somehow that makes more sense to me at the core of what Valentine’s day is about.

Between Valentine’s Day and the Solar Eclipse coming up tomorrow, energetically we might be feeling a tad depleted. This is the first eclipse of the year, a New Moon/Solar Eclipse in sign of Aquarius. Aquarius is the waterbearer and is an air sign that is about innovation, community, and independence. This new moon and solar eclipse is all about new beginnings, breakthroughs and trusting the process. Think of this solar eclipse as a connection between who you were and who you're becoming.

We are also welcoming Chinese New Year with the Year of the Fire Horse. This year will bring new paths, innovation, taking risks and letting go of what no longer serves you.

Take this week to set intentions about what you want to call in for the next six months and reflect on what has shown up since the last solar eclipse at the end of September.

Remember to take tech breaks, go outside and drink water. You are forging a new path and that takes time.
