Being Humbled

Have you ever been humbled by something?

A sunset, the sound of waves crashing, the wind blowing through the trees as you walk through a quiet forest?

Being humbled allows you to become present.  It allows your mind to quiet and to appreciate what is in front of you.  In these moments of being humbled our heart rate lowers, and attitude shifts into a more positive light. The Dali Lama says “If one assumes a humble attitude, one’s own good will increase.”

This week spend some time:

Listening

Practice being present

Tell yourself 3 things you are grateful for

By doing this you can start to cultivate a humble attitude towards the world around you.
